NFL Broadcaster Stresses the Importance of Alzheimer's Clinical Research Participation

NFL Broadcaster, Solomon Wilcots, and Axovant Sciences, kick off the campaign "Huddle Up for New Alzheimer's", which will stress the importance of participation in clinical trials of new drugs in the fight against Alzheimer's Disease..  The campaign will kick off during the month of February to coincide withBig Game Day - Superbowl 50.   The fact is, Alzheimer's disease affects more than 5 million people in the United States and is the sixth leading cause of death in our country.   No new treatments have been approved in more than 10 years.   Wilcots feel that encouragement by professional athletes will inspire people to take part in clinical trials.  " The participation of retired NFL players in our campaign provides a model of leadership for the general population who to tend to look to us and other professional athletes as sources of guidance and inspiration, including for health and rehabilitation.", says Wilcots.  You can watch the campaign launch on https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pgaJTOQ-Hjc  (source: Axovant Sciences Ltd).
