Realizing I am not a kid anymore (50 years old - I know, I know age is just a number), and wanting to make sure my girls will have a piece of me when I go into the great yonder, I decided to start a diary. I have begun to compile a book of memories to include my childhood, my high school years, college years, dating, marriage, motherhood, divorce and career along with some words of advice. Even though, I often say to my girls "When I was little, I remember doing or "When you get older, promise me you won't do what I did"...,writing down those memories, both good and bad, willallow me to stay alive in my children's lives even when I am no longer on this great earth. They can read it to their children, their grandchildren and so on. Maybe even sell it to the Life Time Channel as made for TV movie :) . And as I write down my memories, I am sure I will laugh, cry, second guess myself, cringe, wince and often say "Really, I've had a great life".
